Prof. Dr. Ahmed Farhan al-Tamimi, a lecturer from the college of physical education and sports sciences at the University of Baghdad, has participated in a scientific conference in conjunction with the World Wrestling Championship held in Belgrade, Serbia. The President of the Wrestling Federation stated that Dr. Ahmed Farhan has represented Iraq in this event held in Serbia, indicating that the participants addressed all issues related to this set of combat sports along with their counterparts whether being Arab athletes or experts in this combat sport. Dr. Ahmed al-Tamimi presented a research paper on the development of wrestling across the world.
