Dr. Auday M. Al-Anee, a lecturer from the College of Dentistry at University of Baghdad have published two research papers in German and American journals: The first research is entitled (Evaluation of crestal sinus floor elevations using versah burs with simultaneous implant placement, at residual bone height ≥ 2.0 _ < 6.0 mm. A prospective clinical study). This study included an evaluation of the lifting of the nasal sinus in the upper jaw by bone condensation with the placement of a direct dental implant and it was carried out based upon 17 references with follow-up cases for 6 months. The results showed the effectiveness of this method for raising the nasal sinus with the implantation of the tooth at the same time in the upper jawbone, and it was published in the German Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Journal, issued by Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany.
The second research paper is entitled (Differences Between Impression Stone Pouring and Digital Pouring in Fully Guided Dental Implant Surgery: A Prospective Clinical Study) dealt with a comparison between the induction method and the complete digital method of producing the surgical guide used in dental implants by means of three-dimensional digital printing. This study was conducted based upon 14 references including implanting 40 dental implants in the upper or lower jawbone for each patient. It was found that there were no significant differences in the accuracy of implant placement by the surgical guide for both methods and the effectiveness and accuracy of digital printing in the manufacture of the surgical guide used to place dental implants, published Lippincott Williams and Wilkins Ltd.
