The rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, chaired a meeting with a number of professors met with the professors of study missions from the college of veterinary medicine, sponsored by the deanship in celebration of obtaining higher degrees from sober international universities.
Dr. Munir al-Saadi stressed during his speech the need to pay attention to the scientific study materials and the role played by the professors in upgrading student academic competencies towards building and serving our nation, in addition to contribute to the development of the scientific process, explaining that the active pursuit of science and knowledge must continue in the country to get positive world rankings and raise the name of the University of Baghdad high via publishing their research in peer-reviewed sober journals. The aim of the meeting was also to benefit from the experience the professors who gained scholarships abroad and to keep abreast of the new mechanisms for research publication, as well as their contribution in delivering lectures and joint supervision of master’s and doctoral students.
