The college of nursing held recently a celebration of the 59th anniversary of its founding in the presence of the rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi and the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Huda Baqir Hassan and her assistants, as well as a constellation of professors, employees and students of the college.
The ceremony included shedding a glimpse of light on the establishment of the college since (1962-1963) in coordination with the ministry of health and the World Health Organization (WHO), where a documentary was presented in this context to give an overview about the college’s activities in various disciplines including holding numerous conferences, seminars, educational and awareness workshops, as well as some volunteer work representing by visiting orphans, care for the elderly and the camps established for the displaced. For his part, the rector praised this deanship, faculty members and the employees for their honorable role, indicating the terms of agreement with the University of Bologna towards exchange of experiences between the two parties.
