The Department of Home Economics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Education for Women, held a virtual scientific workshop entitled (The invisible bed bugs and how to get rid of) that was delivered by the lecturer Yusra Shaker Mohammed Jawad with the aim to highlight the characteristics of the bed bug and the reasons for its spread as well as identifying the appropriate methods to eliminate it. The lecturer also addressed the symptoms of infection of bed bugs and their places and signs of presence, as well as the methods of treatment and control by chemical, non-chemical and natural means. At the end, this study came up with the most important items, the most important of which is the need to continuously clean home or hotel furniture, ventilating and drying them outdoors.
