The Mental Health Nursing Branch at the College of Nursing has organized a field visit to the Specialized Burns Hospital in Baghdad for the fourth grade students under the supervision of the lecturer Dr. Haidar Mohammed Majeed with the aim to develop students’ clinical and scientific knowledge and practices on nursing care for patients of severe injuries. The visit included a field tour of the hospital lounges and the micro-operations unit, how to take care of wounds after the operation, clinical evaluation of the operation area and the correct method of sterilization to avoid any wound inflammation as well as to speed up the healing process, as well as taking notes after the operation.
