The University of Baghdad, represented by its rector Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi has concluded recently a memorandum of scientific understanding with the Head of Board of Trustees and the President of Tishk International University in Erbil, Iraq, Dr. Idris Hadi Salih. The two parties aimed to frame scientific and cultural cooperation and to promote their status in various applied and pure disciplines through fruitful communication and direct coordination between faculty members and research departments.
The terms of the memorandum provided for participation in online seminars in addition to the organization of academic meetings, sports & cultural events, short-term training programs and the launch and exchange of academic partnership in master’s and doctoral studies. It is noteworthy that this scientific memorandum will not impose any financial obligations on the host institution, while the two sides evaluate each request in accordance with clauses relating to the implementation of exchange programs that also can be amended based on the consent of the parties and with the approval of the relevant bodies, where the two universities would refer to this academic cooperation on their official websites.
