Assist. Prof. Khaleda Hamed Tskam, a faculty member from the department of English language at the college of education for women has been awarded recently with the translation shield in a celebration held on the occasion of the International Translation Day, under the auspices of the Department of Linguistic and Translation Studies in Beit Al-Hikma and in cooperation with the Translation Club of the Union of Iraqi Writers. She was honored for translating two books in 2021, one from English to Arabic (issued by an Italian publishing house) and the other from Arabic to English (issued by a Jordanian publishing house). This honor was in recognition of the efforts of the Iraqi messengers of knowledge who build a bridge to different cultures by translating foreign literary works that shed light on the life of various nations.
