The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Mr. Mikalai Barysevich, has met recently the rector of University of Baghdad, in the presence of the Horary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in Baghdad Majid Al-Qaysi on the sidelines of the visit of the rector to the Republic of Belarus. The Deputy Minister praised and congratulated the academic achievements of our faculty members in international rankings, especially according to the latest data listed in the last version of the best global universities ranking for 2022 issued by the U.S. News & World Report.
It is noteworthy that the University of Baghdad was ranked in the 1399th position out of (1750) global academic institutions at 90 countries across the world based on the following indicators: global research reputation (12.5%), regional research reputation (12.5%), publications (10%), books (2.5%), conferences (2.5%) and the total citations (10%). For his part, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus, Mr. Mikalai Barysevich for the warm welcome, hospitality and congratulations on the scientific progress of our distinguished university in this American ranking.
