The college of physical education and sports sciences for women at the University of Baghdad has recently organized a seminar on (The perceived organizational support (POS) among faculty members and its relationship to the quality of academic performance at the faculties and departments of physical education in  Baghdad) delivered by the master’s student Khamiel Abdul Hussein Jawad.

The aim of this event is to shed light on this concept that is defined as the degree to which employees believe that their organization values their contributions in work, cares about their well-being and fulfills their socio-emotional needs, since they tend to perform better when they receive favorable rewards. The lecturer stated that the employees even tend to consider any support or assistance they receive in a given institution will provide them a good motivation to develop their expertise and work hard to increase production. She added that the high quality of performance is regarded as the individual’s possession of skills and abilities that enable him/her to accomplish tasks assigned to them in a sound way so as to reach at an outstanding performance.
