The Center for International and Strategic Studies at the University of Baghdad has participated in the proceedings of the forum sponsored by Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue held on Sunday at the Babylon Hotel in Baghdad through the participation of Dr. Ibtisam Mohammed Al Ameri, director of the center who has presented a research paper entitled (Scientific research in Iraq: problems and solutions) that discussed the great role played by the Iraqi professors in the development of humanity and trying to address and solve different issues in the country, in alignment with the scientific progress witnessed across the world as well as the contributions made by scientists and scholars practically to reach at the required goals.

Then Dr. Satar Jabbar al-Jabri, a professor at the center for strategic studies submitted a paper entitled (The advancement of higher education in Iraq: ideas and proposals) in which he addressed the topic of education as an essential human right confirmed by various international and national legislation, since it has become as an essential standard in determining the progress of any nation, adding that the Iraqi state was keen to pay attention to this aspect in various times, although it did not reach at the desired level.
