Prof. Dr. Zainab Wanas Khudhair al-Hassnawi from the department of geography at the college of education for humanities (Ibn Rushd) has recently received a graduation certificate for her fruitful participation in a virtual training program sponsored by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI)/ University of Geneva in Switzerland, where this special political mission was established in 2003 by UN Security Council Resolution 1500. Dr. Zainab Wanas has been nominated by the National Security Council in an official letter to the ministry of foreign affairs so as to contribute in this event which lasted for a month under the slogan (Possible areas of cooperation between coastline countries in the management of water resources to ensure water rights of downstream countries in quantity and quality). The participants carried out negotiations with a number of experts on the way for the application of principles and rules of international water law.
