The college of physical education and sports sciences at the University of Baghdad has rehabilitated lately the building of the Studies, Planning and Follow-up Division after being subjected to an electrical contact, where a small fire was brought under control by follow-up and civil defense teams, preventing it from spreading to nearby buildings.
The technical and service staff also began a campaign for designing and erecting three exterior parts of the building at once after the rector has earlier denied reports of a major fire at the college in Al-Jadriyah which claimed that damage was done at a number of halls and its valuable scientific assets. The spokesman and director of the department of media and public relations Assist. Prof. Dr. Adel al-Ghariri, confirmed that an electrical accident has occurred in one of the rooms outside the college of physical education without any human or material losses, pointing out the need to exercise more caution when reporting news.
