Prof. Dr. Wijdan Fareeq Enad has participated in an electronic symposium sponsored by the Karbala Center for Studies and Research at the Holy Husseini threshold in Karbala, entitled “Sustainable Development of Historical and Heritage Sites in Iraq”. She has presented a research in which she addressed several topics, including the “sustainable development” term and the historical roots of its emergence, the reasons that prevent the implementation of strategic plans for the advancement of Iraq through the protection of its important historical monuments and sites. Recommendations were also made for the maintenance of historical locations since our country is the spiritual father of human civilization. It is noteworthy that this event witnessed a wide presence of more than (400) official and academic figures from inside and outside Iraq.
