The department of philosophy, in collaboration with Ibn Sina unit for e-learning at the University of Baghdad held an electronic scientific lecture entitled “Philosophical Transformations in light of the Coronavirus challenges” as part of the mutual coordination with the Arab Philosophical Society. The lecture was given by Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Ali, head of department of philosophy at the University of Assiut in Egypt, who talked about how to invest the current situation as an opportunity to reform the economy, environment and lifestyle in the long term, as it creates a chance for dynamic momentum towards worldwide growth and social reform.

The participants addressed many significant questions about the image of future in all life sectors at the regional level, including how we will live in post-Covid-19 era, where Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed believed that it not only an existential question but rather a global concern, noting that by facing this epidemic with flexibility at the urban level, we can survive and prosper in the face of disasters now and then.
