The higher institute of accounting and financial studies at the University of Baghdad held its second international virtual conference and the fourth locally under the slogan (leadership and creativity in building financial and accounting policies and strategies in economic units) via Zoom platform and that lasted for two days under the auspices of Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad, with the participation of a number of professors from inside and outside Iraq.

On its first day, the participants presented a number of research papers submitted by professors from Iraqi, Arab and foreign universities, which highlighted the impact of cost technology on the basis of time-oriented activities in pricing decisions and strategic leadership and its role in achieving competitiveness in industrial facilities, as well as discussing the relationship between accounting reservation and continued profit volatility in companies listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange.

Other working papers also addressed the role of long and short-term sources of funding in promoting fixed assets, as well as a study conducted by Romanian researchers in which they discussed the economic perspective of employment (2021-2030). It is noteworthy that the institute had organized several conferences and seminars dealing with prospects of financial coordination with the ministry of finance, the Central Bank of Iraq, as well as the Financial Supervisory Office.
