The department of philosophy, in coordination with Ibn Sina unit for e-learning at the college of arts organized an electronic scientific lecture entitled “Citizenship in the modern post-colonial state” in cooperation with the Arab Philosophical Society in Morocco.

The lecture, presented by Prof. Noora Bouhnash from Algeria with the aim to clarify the concept of citizenship in order to counter the extremist ideology and anarchist and destructive hatred speech in communities at the present. She stated that without the existence of sober enlightenment thought, Muslims can not eliminate ignorance and systematic ignorance or preserve the status they deserve in the world, so the Arabs should enhance the values of intellectual tolerance, pluralism, respect for difference and openness to other cultures, as well as promoting integration and consolidation of the culture of work, production and localization of technology towards achieving the aspirations of future generations in attaining intellectual solidarity and fighting terrorism.
