The department of mathematics, in collaboration with Ibn Sina unit for e-learning and the continuing education unit at the college of science organized a virtual workshop entitled “Microsoft Math Solver App” chaired by Dr. Alaa Hussein, that witnessed the participation of a number of students and specialists in computer science from inside and outside the college.

The workshop aimed to identify this app designed to support students of science, engineering and information technology and to help them solving calculations in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Dr. Alaa Hussein stated that this software provides solutions in a wide of calculus tasks in addition to drawing curves of all kinds in two or three dimensions, indicating that it includes several statistical processes that will contribute to raising the level of learning among students for its ability to deal trigonometry, linear algebra and standard symbols. It is noteworthy that the Microsoft Math Solver is an entry-level educational app and freeware developed by Microsoft Corporation.
