The department of radio and television journalism at the college of media organized a workshop entitled “The mechanism for selecting samples suitable for radio and television research”, with the participation of a number of graduate students.
The workshop was chaired by presented by the faculty member at the department, Prof. Dr. Sharif Saeed Hamid al-Saadi who talked about probable and improbable samples of individuals who can be selected for surveys and the criteria that should be adopted in this quest according to the title of the research, problem and objectives, as well as the mathematical laws used in the process of deducting a given sample in the research community in a very systematic way to ensure the accuracy of representation. The particioants also addressed topics related to a range of problems that students may face in the selection process and ways to overcome them for the sake of attaining accurate findings.
