To be ready for activities of Baghdad, the capital of Arab culture college of Fine Arts witnessed great construction campaign that covered most of college facilities and represented by the maintenance of theaters, departments and college courtyards and gardens .For information about these preparations Dr. Qasim Mou’nis Dean of the college of Fine Arts says : The College is one of the most important centers, where activities of Baghdad, the capital of Arab culture will start off . The college was chosen for several reasons, among the most important is its prestige ,where it is considered the most ancient that came out of it all the fine arts in Iraq ,in addition to its departments which are :Cinema and TV, design ,plastic arts, performing arts, artistic education ,musical arts, and Arabic calligraphy and ornamentation.

It will participate in the activities of Baghdad, the capital of Arab culture with more than Art Exhibition of painting and of calligraphy as well as films and plays that college teachers and students participated in the preparation ,in addition to students’ work and their products in cinema and theater as well as musical evenings .The college will also make a great monument of Baghdad in Baghdad and make Sketch at the entrance of the University of Baghdad containg pictures of the heads of the university since its foundation until today, whose numbers were (16) professors as well as other activities in the college.

And it is known that the College of Fine Arts includes large theatres as Haqqi Shibli , theater of Jaffer Ali, and special theater of department of theater and this another feature to choose the college because Baghdad contains two theaters: Al- Rasheed, disabled now because of the construction and the National Theatre. so I the college undertook its restoration and perpetuating of the college investment budget to be ready to embrace the festival. As for the construction of other facilities we had a meeting with the official of website, assistant teacher Mohammed Thaer where he said that cafeteria and Student Club ,cafeteria of professors construction were completed and 11 classrooms in the Department of Fine Arts as well as the packaging the outer wall of the college and commensurate with heritage style of the college because it represents archaeological location which is the house of Nuri Said ex-Prime Minister of Iraq.

The maintenance of television studio building in the Department of Cinematic Arts and TV and the concerns of porcelain and sculpture floor rooms at the college will be completed as well as packaging floor of the college and pathways commensurate with the basic design of the College and its beauty.

Mr Dean expressed his great reluctance in construction that are supposed to hand over the college in 15/10/2012 but we have not yet received any building and I expect to continue to the mid-fifth month and this affects negatively the program that we prepared to Baghdad, the capital of culture and this is made clear for officials in the Ministry of Culture.
