The Quality Assurance and University Performance Division and Ibn Sina unit for e-learning and the continuing education unit at the college of science has organized a virtual training course entitled “Comprehensive quality management in university education” given by Assist. Prof. Dr. Salem Hamid Salem, a faculty member at the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Baghdad, attended by a number of teaching staff and members of the committees of academic quality and performance from inside and outside the college.

The course aimed to address the concept of quality management system (QMS) and its applications in higher education institutions and implications on the administrative and technical processes, with a review of the previous successful experiences and studies in this regard. It is noteworthy that the quality management system (QMS) is defined as a formalized system that documents processes, procedures, and responsibilities for achieving quality policies and objectives to coordinate and direct an organization’s activities to meet customer and regulatory requirements and improve its effectiveness and efficiency on a continuous basis.
