The department of physics, in cooperation with Ibn Sina unit for e-learning and the continuing education unit at the college of science has organized recently a virtual workshop entitled “Using biometry in medical physics research” presented by the lecturer Dr. Zakaria Yahya Suleiman and Assist. Prof. Dr. Baidaa Tahir Syeh with the participation of a number of students and those concerned with statistical and biological affairs.

The workshop aimed to identify one of the programs used to create budgeting spreadsheets, lists, graphs via the use of Microsoft Excel tools widely used for data processing and for making advanced arithmetic operations in the fields of medical physics and biometric statistics. The participants analyzed Excel spreadsheets that provide several ways to organize data manipulations and templates through a variety of interactive features since Excel supports charts, graphs, or histograms generated from specified groups of cells.
