Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad, in the presence of the Deputy Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Jassim al-Halbousi, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Dr. Miqdam al-Jumaili, the Ministry’s Advisor, Prof. Alaa Abdul Hussein and rector of the University Of Anbar Prof. Dr. Mushtaq al-Nada, has inaugurated the first exhibition of scientific products and patents.
This exhibition that was held in the halls of the General Secretariat of the Central Library under the patronage of His Excellency the minister of higher education and scientific research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel Saheb, included more than 400 scientific products in various fields, including industrial areas, health, agriculture, renewable energy, digital technologies & software, engineering and medical fields, as well as many patents and authored books.
During his tour with the visiting delegations, Dr. Munir al-Saadi exchanged visions with researchers and patent holders on the importance and quality of scientific research in the country in promoting integration between Iraqi universities and various state institutions, private sector investors, urging them to consolidate the qualitative openness with public and private sectors to achieve community service and to reflect their practical findings to be employed in real projects that may enhance the nature of life of our people. It is noteworthy that the researchers and patent holders asserted that their inventions can serve the national industry and the labor market for being able to attract local and foreign investors.
