The college of physical education and sports sciences has hosted recently the first periodic meeting sponsored by Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad, in coordination with the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority at the ministry of higher education and scientific research and in the presence of the directors of dormitories at all Iraqi universities.
The aim of the meeting was to follow-up the workflow at student housing departments and ways to enhance their services, solving problems and overcoming any obstacles faced by staff and residents, especially in light of the increasing number of students applying for study every year. During his speech, Dr. Munir al-Saadi stressed the mechanisms adopted for selecting directors of student housing residences and the need to rely on university funds to pay for financial expenditures and provide various facilities for students. It is noteworthy that the participants proposed at a number of recommendations, including the need to rely on efficient staff and to develop workflow to provide better services for the students applying next year.
