The college of dentistry held its twenty-first annual scientific conference under the slogan (Dental research: excellence, creativity and unlimited possibilities), under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad. The conference started with a recitation of some verses of the Holy Quran, then a speech by the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq al-Hashemi, in which she welcomed the attendees and participants in this conference, praising the specialized scientific initiatives of faculty members in such events that would improve the practical skills of Iraqi dentists in multiple areas.
The conference witnessed the presentation of a documentary film that reflected the historical background of the college as well as the academic achievements of its staff over time in various disciplines. Many specialized medical researches and studies were presented in the proceedings, with a review of the latest medical and technological equipment used across the world in the field of dental medicine.
