The psychological and educational guidance unit at the college of law has organized recently a workshop entitled: (Addressing the psychological problems and stresses facing students during Covid-19 pandemic) in coordination with Ibn Sina unit for e-learning via Google Meet service, delivered by the head of the criminal law branch, Assist. Prof. Dr. Alaa Nasser Hussein.

The workshop aimed to adhere to safety and preventive measures taken during the current world wide pandemic and the role of young people in addressing such crises through volunteer work and acquiring healthy skills. The workshop included many topics, including the lack of physical activity, feeling loneliness because of social distancing precautions and the excessive use of computers or mobile phones. The lecturers presented several recommendations, such as increasing awareness among young people of the importance of seeking real health information from official sources, spreading the culture of adherence to health instructions as support to the state’s efforts in combating the epidemic, as well as engaging university students in voluntary procedures and initiatives to help infected patients, especially those specialized in crisis management.
