Prof. Dr. Ahmed Wahid Nasser, the assistant rector for the administrative affairs at the University of Baghdad has inaugurated a scientific competition for the Master’s students targeted towards the planning of an Iraqi residential locality sponsored by the center of urban and regional planning for postgraduate studies in the presence of the Advisor of the ministry of higher education and scientific research Prof. Dr. Muhsen al-Freiji, specialists from the ministries of planning, reconstruction and housing, as well as representatives of the mayoralty of Baghdad, engineers and specialists in urban and regional planning. The Master students presented several designed models that reflected their perceptions regarding the successful residential locality that contains all essential factors for serving the residents and ensuring their safety and comfort.
