The department of biology at the college of science has recently formed a research ethics committee whose ultimate goal is to promote high ethical standards in scientific research and to protect and maintain the rights of authors who publish studies in human and animal fields. Also the head of department launched a page on the college’s website for this purpose which contains special files and forms prescribed for review and evaluate scientific research and to ensure that the researches adhere to local and international ethical standards. The committee called on professors to submit applications before starting their research by filling out a special form to be discussed and approved by the committee.
