The Center for Women’s Studies at the University of Baghdad organized a seminar on (Combating trafficking in women in the light of the Iraqi law) under the supervision of the director of the center, Assist. Prof. Dr. Athraa Ismail Zaidan. The seminar was chaired by the head of the department of policy and legislation research, Assist. Prof. Dr. Maisoon Ali Abdul Hadi who tried to discuss the institutional accommodation and its role in protecting victims and the role of the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights (IHCHR) in combating crimes targeted towards women and protecting their human rights . Then she addressed the role of the ministry of interior and the supreme judicial council in accordance with the legislation in force to find out the necessary solutions to reduce the growth of this crime.
