The department of English language at the college of education for women has organized a scientific symposium on the “Key elements of the successful virtual education and learning” via Free Conference Call tool. The lecturers aimed to highlight the importance of e-learning as well as the most common experiences and problems faced by faculty members and students at universities in general under the Covid-19 pandemic and to recommend the best strategies for teaching different subjects in English for foreign learners.
A number of proposals were made to bridge the gap between face-to-face and virtual education where the submitted working papers were considered as the nucleus of serious steps that must be taken towards developing and learning English in Iraq using different online applications designed for Windows & smartphones, along with taking advantage of the use of internet in the search of the right information, vocabulary and pronunciation.
