The department of physics, in collaboration with Ibn Sina e-learning and continuing education units at the college of science organized a virtual training course via the Free Call Conference entitled “Thin-film applications” in the presence of a number of professors and students with the aim to identify thin-film composite membranes and their applications in semiconductor devices such as sensors, electro-optical devices, lenses or solar cells, metallic mirror coatings, transistors and others.

The participants also shed light on the latest technological equipment in thin-film membranes (TFC or TFM) that can be manufactured principally for use in water purification or water desalination systems, chemical applications such as batteries and fuel cells which opened the way for various scientific researches in physics, electronics, optical and magnetic applications which benefit humans in daily life.
