The University of Baghdad has recently urged all faculty members, staff and students to update their biometric voter ID registration data in preparation for the national elections. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Wahid Nasser, the assistant rector for administrative affairs stated that the rector Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi directed to allocate the former central post division at the presidency of the University of Baghdad to be the third office for the Iraqi High Electoral Commission (IHEC) at Karrada to check the registration status and to update the biometric voter cards. During his visit to the biometric voter ID registration center, the assistant rector asserted the need to update electoral data and to obtain a long-term biometric voter card.
