Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher, dean of the college of media at the University of Baghdad called upon all Iraqi media networks to raise the slogan “Media in the service of community”, especially during the problems and crises facing the country. He stated that Iraq is always in a crisis, so the media networks should play their desired role in urging the public to cooperate with health institutions and integrate with them in the fight against the new variants of Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Ammar Taher added that the communication outlets and newsrooms must coordinate their efforts to stand by our health staff to deliver real information about the epidemiological situation at present and to fight fake or misleading news in this regard.
