The college of arts held recently a virtual meeting with some representatives of UNESCO to discuss the development of a mechanism for joint cooperation in the field of UNESCO Chair for Genocide Prevention Studies in the Muslim world and to promote outreach activities in this field so as to strengthen UNESCO’s core mission to promote peace and human rights globally.

The coordinator and president of the UNESCO Chair on Genocide Prevention Studies in the Muslim world at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Salah Fleifel Ayed Al-Jabri gave during his speech an introduction about the college’s achievements at the research level as well as future projects to be implemented and the obstacles facing them. Then the director of public relations Carl Fraklin expressed the UNESCO’s readiness to strengthen international communication to inform the world of the importance of the college of arts and to obtain an international support and partnership to implement its relevant plans and objectives.
