The department of computer science in collaboration with Ibn Sina e-learning and the continuing education units at the college of science organized a virtual workshop via Google Meet service entitled “Distributed Applications” with the participation of a number of students, professors and those concerned with software and financial platforms.

The workshop was presented by Assist. Lecturer Faten Sadiq Khazal with the aim to introduce future techniques, including distributed and decentralized applications called (Blockchain) that is a type of strong non-profit database structured in table format to allow for easier searching and filtering for any specific information, such as Etheruem which is a technology for digital money, global payments and applications used for financial or non-financial transactions. It is also used for data deposits and retrievals through the so-called smart contracts and encryption that provide a high level of information security.
