The continuing education unit at the college of education for women held a scientific virtual symposium entitled (E-Learning in Iraq: reality and challenges) via the Google Meet service with the aim to identify the obstacles and challenges faced by students and faculty members in the application of e-learning platforms as well as to highlight the most important electronic requirements needed in all university formations.
The lecturers presented several working papers that discussed the concept of e-learning and its reflections in the development of educational skills of graduate and postgraduate students through interactive dialogues. The participants confirmed the need for upgrading the professors’ electronic capabilities and potential so that to provide a variety of educational audio-visual content online to explain the scientific material and curriculum, adding that e-learning gives the students an opportunity to evaluate their information and experience through periodic examinations or feedback.
