The department of geography and geographic information systems at the college of arts participated in the virtual map gallery sponsored by the annual Esri User Conference 2021 which is the world’s largest GIS conference founded to help solve some of the world’s most difficult problems with a commitment to science, sustainability, community, education, research and positive change.

The aim of the college’s participation in this virtual gallery is to detect the latest changes in the size and natural manifestations of Lake Habbaniyah in Anbar Province, Iraq during the period (2010-2020) by using the remote sensing techniques.
