The department of educational and psychological sciences at the college of education for women has organized recently its first virtual seminar entitled “The role of psychology in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic” for the academic year (2020-2021) via Free Conference Call website in order to discuss the lessons learned by people during from the pandemic and to examine the contribution of psychology in work-life balance. The lecturers talked about how to adhere to the principles of healthy living towards promoting various positive psychological behaviors in communication as well as for spending better time under the Coronavirus era, encouraging the patients to accept treatment and identifying the negative effects of social isolation on the immune system.

The participants recommended the growing need to conduct more studies that show the extent to which the psychological aspect of the patient is taken into account in the rapid response to treatment and the role of media and health centers to support people in providing psychological guidance, control of anger, anxiety, depression and fear through exercise positive thinking when dealing with crises. The lecturers then gave examples of how to strengthen the spiritual immunity, reassurance, positive energy, as well as to take information from its real sources, avoid rumors and to broadcast messages of peace, tranquility and hope by all means.
