Prof. Dr. Qassim Mohammed Hassan al-Khaqani, dean of the college of physical education and sports sciences at the University of Baghdad held a meeting recently with the members of the volunteer student team (Athletes for Hope) to discuss their future projects to be held at the college and to assign schedules planned towards carrying out field visits to some orphanages, hospitals, poor families or special needs individuals.
Then, Dr. Qassim al-Khaqani stressed the deanship’s continued support for these charitable projects by providing transportation and all facilities, including in-kind donations, as well as opening the college doors for orphans by organizing sports entertainment programs to entertain such kids who are in desperate need of this sense of intimacy and love.
