The continuing education unit at the college of science for women sponsored a lecture entitled “Some diseases and their relationship to chemistry” via Free Conference Call website with the aim to raise social awareness of the dangers of heavy elements and their impact on public health and the safety of living organisms.

The lecturers addressed the current manifestations of the development of the pace of life and the rapid growth of the production of industrial food as being the major reason for the increase in pollution rates. Also the emissions of factories and some methods used to get rid of these pollutants by throwing them randomly into agricultural lands that are considered as an important source for humans and animals to meet their food needs.
