Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad received in his office the Major General Sabah Houshi Mohammed, dean of the Iraqi Police College and his entourage, including the Major General Dr. Yasser al-Yasry, the former director of the Institute for Security Development and the Brigadier Abdul Rahman al-Khafaf, the commander of the training wing at the college. The two parties discussed prospects of joint scientific and research cooperation that would improve the academic level of students studying in both sides.

Dr. Munir al-Saadi stressed the willingness of the university to develop a real partnership in various research fields in order to attain the target outputs that will play a prominent role in the labor market. In turn, the Major General Sabah Houshi stated that the University of Baghdad has a great and profound legacy and it is playing a significant role in the community and has become a source of pride for all Iraqis, so we at the ministry of interior consider it as our strategic depth that we are accustomed to for obtaining academic support and expertise as well as its role in establishing the Police College by providing it with bright names of professors and experts in the fields of medicine, science and law.
