Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad chaired the 11th session of the council of the University of Baghdad in the presence of all members to discuss a number of important topics that may improve the quality of academic education in the country. The members addressed the need to provide online educational videos provided by the computer center that teach students and staff how to use some virtual platforms and other software related to the human resources and student management systems, scientific promotions system, in addition to student admission portals for graduate and post graduate studies with an emphasis on the continued update of such online services to simplify work and enhance the educational output.

The session also included addressing the mechanism of cooperation between the university formations and other ministries, approving postgraduate curricula and discussing the technological incubator project planned for smart education in Iraq. At the conclusion of this session, the rector stressed the urgent need for commitment to the resolutions of the High Committee for Health and Safety and to abide by the instructions and preventive measures to preserve the safety of students and faculty, with the need to develop the necessary plans to confront and reduce the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.
