Dr. Ali Adel Abdul Hamid and Dr. Ammar Nusiri Hanoun, lecturers working at the department of reconstruction and projects at the presidency of the University of Baghdad have published recently a research entitled (Push-out test of steel –concrete – steel composite sections with various core materials: Behavioural study) in the Archive of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, issued by the global Springer Nature Publishing Group, classified in the first quarter (Q1 in Clarivate Analytics with an Impact Factor =3.672) and Scopus (Impact Factor =6.8).

The study dealt with the following construction composites (iron – concrete – iron) made of different and sustainable materials that have been tested under the influence of momentum where the components of concrete included alternatives to coarse debris in specific proportions of tire rubber as well as palm fiber. The aim of the study is to find sustainable alternatives to concrete components in order to investigate the resistance of iron and concrete to momentum. The results showed the efficiency of these composite sections in energy absorption.
