Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad held recently an extensive meeting with the director of the department of quality assurance and university performance and a number of deans in the presence of the assistant rector for scientific affairs Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Samarrai with the aim to discuss a number of projects that can be achieved and invested to develop its infrastructure and knowledge outputs to reach advanced levels in global and local academic rankings as well as to shed light on the environmental conditions, human and financial potential in the university.

The meeting included a series of projects in the fields of agricultural engineering and science through a number of patents in the field of chemistry and mechanical engineering, including a biogas project extracted from agricultural waste. The attendants also addressed other researches related to environmental service, friendly animal production, biocontrol & organic fertilizer projects, waste treatment, clean energy, environmentally friendly pesticides. Then Dr. Munir al-Saadi stressed on joint cooperation between scientific colleges, referring to the investment of solar energy to generate electricity and cooling systems based on patents and to market the scientific products and make use of graduation projects in all scientific disciplines to reflect the university’s activities and taking advantage of such data and perceptions in the formulation of graduate studies’ programs.
