The department of quality assurance and university performance at the presidency of the University of Baghdad held an extensive meeting chaired by the rector Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al Saadi and assistant rector for scientific affairs Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim al-Samarrai to discuss the recent measures applied for the implement of the UN sustainable development goals (2020-2030) in the presence of some deans and heads of departments.
The rector confirmed the university’s orientation towards this international commitment to promote the best practices for the implementation a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. The participants also discussed a number of research projects submitted by faculty members of various disciplines that can be invested and applied for the development of the Iraqi community as well as for the preservation and sustainability of the environment.
