Dr. Maher Yahya Salloum, an assistant professor from Al-Khwarizmi college of engineering has participated recently in the periodic scientific workshop sponsored by the Arab Robotics & AI Association through its representatives in STEMile Education Center in Iraq.

During the workshop, Dr. Maher Salloum gave a brief overview of the establishment of the department of mechatronics engineering at the college dedicated for studying robotics and artificial intelligence and the importance of smart laboratories in the development of the industrial sector and supporting the national economy of the country. He pointed out prospects of future developments in smart training of students to keep up with the global development in this field, especially with the growing need for the use of e-learning platforms to face the challenges imposed by the widespread epidemic at present in accordance with the instructions of the ministry of higher education and scientific research regarding the integrated learning.
