Dr. Sarmad Hashim al-Khatib, dean of the college of pharmacy at the University of Baghdad has participated lately in the proceedings of a scientific conference on the latest developments in the treatment of asthma held in Babylon Rotana Hotel in Baghdad at the invitation of AstraZeneca British-Swedish multinational pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company. Dr. Sarmad al-Khatib addressed several treatment methods in this regard according to 2020 GINA Report for global strategy for asthma management and prevention and then discussed the most important changes in the method and quality of the drugs used in treatment and reviewed the relevant scientific studies.
