The college of education for pure and applied sciences (Ibn al-Haitham) held the second virtual international scientific conference (IHICPAS) 2020 with the participation of approximately (455) researches, of which (301) were reviewed and approved in the fields of physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics submitted by Arab and foreign professors.

The first lecture was on (Mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of transport phenomena) delivered by Prof. Dr. Jure Ravnik, director of the  Mechanical Engineering Research Institute at Maribor University in Slovenia, the second lecture was on inorganic chemistry entitled (Heterometallic Rings as Building Blocks for Supramolecules) presented by Prof. Richard Winpenny, a professor of inorganic chemistry at the University of Manchester, UK and EPSRC advanced fellow.

The last lecture was on biology entitled (How can Neural Tissue Engineering help Regenerative Neurology) presented by Prof. Divya Maitreyi Chari, a professor of neural tissue engineering at Keele University School of Medicine, UK. The conference recommended the need to work on the use of applied research to serve the local labor market and to develop next academic events sponsored by the college to keep pace with international virtual conferences.
