Dr. Younis Kaddouri Aweid, a professor from the department of religions and director of the manuscripts unit at the college of Islamic sciences has participated recently in the proceedings of the virtual international conference entitled (Independent Turkmenistan: international, historical and cultural cooperation) sponsored by the Magtymguly National institute of language, literature and manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.

The conference was held via Zoom platform at Ashgabat on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence and it witnessed the participation of (41) researchers from (35) countries. Prof. Dr. Younis Kaddouri presented a research on the Seljuk relationship with the Abbasid state that focused on studying the characteristics of the Abbasid state that went through several stages of weakness and was in desperate need of support, so the Seljuks took advantage of this situation by providing great help to the Abbasid caliph at the time, thereby dominated and spread in the country, gained the trust of many segments of society besides other advantages and worked for their own state.
