Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad inaugurated the first international conference of sustainable engineering and technology as the representative of His Excellency the minister of higher education and scientific research organized by Al-Farahidi University in cooperation with the University of Technology. This event witnessed the presence of the Undersecretary of the ministry of planning Prof. Maher Hamad Johan, the representative of the rector of the Middle Technical University and a number of deans and directors.
The conference was held under the slogan “sober scientific research: the gateway to sustainable development” to discuss many papers that highlighted the latest global technological developments and mechanisms for their development in accordance with engineering studies under different circumstances and to rely on sober academic research to attain sustainable development. Dr. Munir Al-Saadi asserted during his speech the need for urging Iraqi professors towards the dissemination of their researches in various global repositories and at the conclusion of this event he awarded the participants and the members of scientific and preparatory committees with shields of creativity and excellence for their contribution in this conference.
